About our Opportunity:

This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled financial professional who wants to use their talents to help us make a difference in the world. We are looking for a detail orientated Financial Accountant to help us drive impact with their strong financial capabilities.  
 
As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for managing the daily accounting and financial management of our organisation. Your role will be crucial in providing accurate financial reports to senior management, which will assist in strategic decision-making and enhance our financial performance.

The Responsibilities will include:

• Preparing monthly profit and loss statements, balance sheet reconciliations
• Ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards
• Managing general ledger entries, and oversee month-end closing procedures
• Implement and maintain financial controls
• Oversee cash flow management and forecast future financial needs

Additionally, you will collaborate with various teams to support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning for different departments and projects, ensuring that financial goals are achieved.​

About You:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Finance.
• CPA/CA qualification.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in financial accounting or financial audit.
• A thorough understanding of AASB requirements and accounting standards, particularly AASB 1058 and AASB 15.​
• Strong experience with government funding, donations, and NDIS-specific systems (e.g., PRODA, NDIA Provider Portal).
• Experience using Dynamics 365 Business Central
• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills

Highly Desirable:

• Experience within the disability sector or NDIS environment.
• ​Familiarity with NDIS pricing and claiming processes.​
• Knowledge of not-for-profit accounting practices.
