Portland District Health (PDH) provides integrated healthcare and services in the Glenelg Shire in the rural City of Portland in cooperation with other regional health services. Situated in the South West of Victoria, Portland is about 370 kilometres from Melbourne. PDH has a long and proud history of servicing this community. Around 435 dedicated staff provide a range of services across acute, primary health and aged residential care services. PDH is seeking to appoint a talented finance professional for this key leadership role.
In this newly created executive position, you will report to the CEO and will oversee the financial resources and corporate function of Portland District Health and ensure appropriate financial management controls and practices are consistent with, and reflect, Department of Health financial management policies and procedures. The EDF&CS will also directly co-ordinate the efficient and effective provision of non-clinical services to ensure service provision is of the highest standard including business critical services such as hotel services, engineering, supply, IT, HR, Health Information and contract management.
To be considered for this outstanding career opportunity, you will have extensive senior finance leadership experience underpinned by degree qualifications in finance with CPA or equivalent qualifications. Experience in the health sector is required so that you can demonstrate an ability to lead and collaborate within a multidisciplinary health care team, and an understanding and knowledge of Public Health corporate systems. You will be an energetic and resilient leader who through exemplary leadership can champion continuous improvement and build strong alliances across the region.
