SELECTION CRITERIA

The role will suit someone who has:

  • Demonstrated ability to absorb complex information and re-present it simply
  • Experience in science/health or ability to acquire a strong understanding of the issues in science and public health desirable
  • Proven communications (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders
  • Experience in brand management, content development and digital marketing skills
  • Ability to complete work to brief and sometimes under pressure in a complex environment
  • Ability to monitor media and social analytics and prepare reports
  • Experience using 3rd party applications and software, including social media management tools, website content management systems, video editing tools, graphic design such as the Adobe Suite or Canva, plus Campaign Monitor or similar.

Qualifications desired:

  • A tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline (i.e. journalism, communications, marketing or public relations) or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education and training

About the opportunity:

We have an exciting opportunity for a Communications and Marketing Coordinator to join the ANZCHOG team. This role will see you work in collaboration with the Communications and Media Manager to support the development, management and implementation of the marketing and communications strategy for the organisation and create innovate, engaging and purposeful content for various audiences. We are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled professional to ensure ANZCHOG’s message across all platforms is consistent, engaging and aligned to the vision, mission and strategic objectives of the organisation.

EMPLOYMENT TERMS

This position is a part time (0.6 FTE) capacity. Salary is based on Scientific Support Group ranging from Tap 5-6 dependent on level of experience. Superannuation of 11.5% and very attractive salary packaging options are available.
