We’re looking for an experienced IT Operations Manager to lead the delivery of high-quality IT services that support the organisation's strategic and operational objectives. This role is pivotal in managing and optimising the IT infrastructure, including cloud-based systems, network operations, and end-user support, while ensuring compliance with cybersecurity and regulatory standards.

This full-time, ongoing position offers a competitive salary range of $111,649pa to $124,836 per annum plus 15.4% superannuation.

What You’ll Do:

  • Lead and manage the delivery of high-quality IT services, ensuring operational excellence in technical and application support, networking, collaboration tools, and cloud-based services.
  • Oversee the IT Service Desk, ensuring timely and effective support for end-users in a hybrid working environment.
  • Coach and mentor IT staff, assigning tasks, providing training, and supporting professional development.
  • Maintain and enhance cybersecurity practices, adhering to legislative and regulatory requirements, including compliance with ACSC Information Security Manual (ISM) and ASD Essential 8.
  • Develop and maintain IT policies, including disaster recovery, contingency planning, and cyber risk management.
  • Partner with the CIO to align IT operations with organisational objectives through strategic planning and budgeting.
  • Manage vendor partnerships, contractual arrangements, and asset acquisition, ensuring quality service and cost efficiency.
  • Manage IT change processes, including impact assessment, scheduling, testing, and communications.
  • Deliver IT projects on time and within budget, contributing to cross-functional initiatives.
  • Develop and oversee IT governance policies and procedures to ensure the organization meets its technology and security obligations.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Demonstrated IT leadership experience with expertise in prioritising, managing resources and driving team performance.
  • Experience in leading IT Service Desk and operations teams, overseeing cloud-based services, business applications and end user computing devices.
  • Strong leadership and analytical skills, with a proven track record of staff development, performance management, and strategic problem-solving, including the ability to influence and deliver effective solutions.
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills with proven ability in articulating technical information to non-technical audiences in a clear, understandable format.
  • Extensive IT project management experience with the ability to partner with stakeholders to drive technology change initiatives.
  • Demonstrated experience in adopting legislative and regulatory requirements, including compliance with ACSC Information Security Manual (ISM) and ASD Essential 8.
