We are looking for an experienced analyst to join our Positive Duty team. You will serve as a vital part of the Positive Duty Team (PDT), dedicated to bolstering the Commission’s regulatory initiatives. By meticulously analysing intelligence and information from a variety of sources, you will ensure the integrity and applicability of data critical to regulatory operations.

This role will be instrumental in identifying trends, target areas, and actionable insights that drive effective decision-making.

This full-time, Ongoing / Non ongoing position offers a competitive salary range of $94,563 - $105,910 per annum plus 15.4% superannuation.

What You’ll Do:

  • Analyse intelligence and information from various sources to assess relevance and accuracy.
  • Identify emerging trends and potential areas of focus for compliance and enforcement efforts.
  • Conduct thorough assessments of data to support decision-making processes.
  • Create quality tactical, operational, and strategic products tailored to stakeholders' needs.
  • Ensure timely delivery of analytical products to inform and guide regulatory actions.
  • Collaborate with team members to enhance clarity and effectiveness of analytical outputs.
  • Monitor and manage reporting databases to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Contribute to comprehensive reporting efforts, summarising key findings and insights.
  • Support the Positive Duty Team in creating regular updates on compliance and enforcement activities.
  • Engage in ongoing reviews of analytical practices/products to enhance usability.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices in analysis.
  • Build and maintain positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including other regulatory bodies and industry partners.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Demonstrated skills in performing a range of Lead Analyst related duties, including preparing reports, contributing to environmental scanning efforts, and providing support to inquiries and compliance activities.
  • Understanding of and skills in information and data analysis (including IT based sources).
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of regulation or compliance frameworks.
  • Proven ability to complete tasks efficiently and achieve exceptional results within established timelines.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to work collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders.
