The Australian Human Rights Commission is seeking a People and Culture Adviser (Recruitment) on a full time, non-ongoing basis.

Ideally located in Sydney, other locations will be considered.

Offering a competitive salary of $90,199 up to $102,002 (base wage) + 15.4% superannuation.

Your Role

Are you passionate about shaping the future of talent in a values-driven organization? As a People and Culture Adviser (Recruitment), you'll play a pivotal role in managing our recruitment process from start to finish, ensuring a seamless experience for both new hires and our team.

Key Priorities in the role

What You'll Do:

  • Operational Recruitment: Reporting to the Senior Adviser, People and Culture. Take charge of the end-to-end recruitment process. Support hiring managers, streamline onboarding, and implement people policies that make a difference.
  • Drive Talent Programs: Assist in designing and rolling out innovative talent attraction and wellbeing programs that boost engagement, psychological safety, and resilience within our workforce.
  • Enhance Selection: Use your expertise to develop and execute talent strategies and selection tools, ensuring they align with our mission and the APS merit principles.
  • Support Diversity and Inclusion: Support the Senior Adviser, People and Culture to drive affirmative recruitment campaigns, manage internships in partnership with top universities, and champion initiatives that enhance diversity and inclusion across our organization.

Please note this position is advertised as non-ongoing.

The successful applicant would be employed for an initial period of up to twelve months, if extended the maximum period will be two years in total.

The merit pool established through this selection process, which is valid for a period of eighteen months from the date the vacancy was advertised in the Public Service Gazette, may also be used to fill future ongoing and non-ongoing vacancies in the Commission where the duties are of a similar nature.
