Fundraising and Growth Lead

Solar Citizens
  • Solar Citizens is looking for a highly motivated fundraiser to drive growth and impact.
  • Hybrid working model and competitive salary on offer.

About Us

At Solar Citizens, we believe every Australian should benefit from affordable rooftop renewables and clean transport. With a federal election on the horizon and shifting global politics, the next three years will be crucial for securing a safer climate and a fairer, more democratic energy system.

Solar Citizens is an independent, not-for-profit, community DGR organisation funded by donations and grants. We have a strong donor pipeline and a well-developed fundraising strategy, but we’re ready to grow—and that’s where you come in.

Home solar is the backbone of Australia's clean energy transition, with everyday Australians investing $25 billion in rooftop solar. We advocate for policies that protect and expand access to these cost-saving measures, push for government support for home battery storage, and remove barriers to affordable clean energy.

Our supporters range from early adopters of rooftop solar and batteries to budget-conscious pensioners looking to take control of their energy bills.

However, rooftop renewables face constant challenges. The push for nuclear energy running 24/7 threatens rooftop solar’s place in the grid, and home solar owners risk being forced into a solar switch-off. That’s why we need a strong fundraising lead to amplify our impact.
