ABOUT THE ROLE

Education Coordinator will support our staff to look after our consumers to deliver high quality care.

The incumbent is responsible to implement and evaluate educational programs for staff within our aged care facilities. Work collaboratively with clinical and quality teams, the incumbent will need to be able to identify training needs and facilitate educational sessions. ABOUT YOU

Essential Criteria

  • Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse with minimum of three (3) years post registration clinical experience including 12 months minimum in aged care.
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or willingness to take Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the ageing process, aged related health issues, palliative care, and its documentation
  • Knowledge of relevant Aged Care Quality Standards
  • Demonstrated experience in delivering health education initiatives
  • Understanding of competency assessments
  • Willingness to support the Mission, Vision and Values of IBIS Care
  • Demonstrated people management skills
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve goals within set timeframes
  • Capacity to take initiative and be innovative
  • Computer literacy
  • High level of written and verbal skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
  • Demonstrated experience in training people
  • Registered vehicle and NSW driver’s license. Must be able to travel between our 5 facilities in St George and Sutherland Shire area. Mileage allowance is provided
  • National Criminal Police Clearance
