ABOUT THE ROLE

The Home & Living Engagement Manager is pivotal to ICLA’s growth strategy, focussed on ensuring current and new houses in our Supported Independent Living (SIL) program are best utilised and occupied, along with supporting with the development of other home and living opportunities within ICLA. In this role you will develop and maintain key applicant pipelines and support a welcoming on-boarding experience for new consumers, to achieve target occupancy levels and increased independence for adults living with psychosocial disability and complex mental health.

This rewarding full time hybrid role is based from our Surry Hills office with flexibility in work pattern and to work from home where practicable. When travel needs arise for relationship building, transport is available. The role is for 2 years fixed term, with the potential to convert to permanent. The role is remunerated at SCHADS Level 6 commencing from $106,387 per annum plus leave loading, superannuation & NFP salary packaging.

Responsibilities include:

  • Business Development: Raise awareness of ICLA’s offerings through community engagement, networking, and events, positioning ICLA as a top provider in the disability, mental health, and housing sector.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong relationships with hospitals, social workers, community organisations, and government agencies to identify referral opportunities and promote ICLA’s services.
  • Client Engagement & Intake: Develop trusted relationships with people seeking disability and mental health services, using a person-centred approach to assess goals, preferences, and support needs.
  • Carer & Family Liaison: Provide tailored information to families and carers about ICLA services, acting as a key point of contact throughout the intake process.
  • NDIS Navigation: Enable informed decisions by guiding clients, families, and support networks through funding options, service agreements, and eligibility processes.
  • Referral & Assessment: Conduct needs assessments, triage inquiries, and manage referrals to ICLA and external providers.
  • Service Matching: Work with internal teams, hospitals, and coordinators to coordinate timely transitions into ICLA’s services.
  • Data Integrity & Reporting: Maintain accurate records and documentation in line with ICLA policies and NDIS compliance.

ABOUT YOU

Essential:

  • Minimum of 3 years experience in the psychosocial disability and mental health sector
  • In-depth NDIS knowledge and understanding of independent living services offered under the NDIS, ideally as a Support Coordinator.
  • Demonstrated project management background, delivering within time and budgets
  • High level of computer literacy across MS Office suite, Sales Force, or other CRM programs.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, able to influence and negotiate good outcomes with the need of clients and ICLA in mind
  • Ability to build rapport with diverse individuals, including those with complex needs
  • Excellent communicator and stakeholder manager, effectively liaising with internal and external stakeholders
  • Independent thinker and self-starter, contributing effectively to the team
  • Able to manage competing priorities and remain effective under pressure

Desirable:

  • Experience working with multidisciplinary teams, including hospital staff, support coordinators, and social workers.
  • Understanding of trauma-informed care and person-centered approaches.
  • Strong networking skills with local service providers and government agencies.
  • Lived experience or deep empathy for individuals with disabilities & mental health conditions.
