ABOUT THE ROLE

The Consumer Engagement Lead is an exciting new position focusing: on consumer co-design; collaboration with key stakeholders; & driving implementation of best practice framework; ensuring ensure consumer’s perspective and voice are reflected in all relevant aspects of their journey with ICLA. Commencing from August 2023, this dynamic part time role is 4 days (32 hours) remunerated from $77,578 p.a. base plus leave loading, superannuation & salary packaging. Based from our Surry Hills office, the role involves travel to consumers in the greater Sydney region and the opportunity to work from home as practical. Full time could also be considered for a high-performing candidate. 

Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining ICLA’s consumer engagement framework across ICLA’s range of service offerings, ensuring and reflecting best practice in the market
  • Establishing, managing and maintaining a consumer committee
  • Analysing consumer journeys, through the collection of quantitative and qualitative data, including internal surveys or workshops and external data sources throughout the consumer journey
  • Analysing quality of ICLA’s relevant processes & identifying areas for improvement in consumer journeys & ICLA practice
  • Working with relevant stakeholders to ensure changes are timely implemented in the best interest of the consumers
  • Advocate for consumer needs, wants and rights
  • Reporting to senior management regarding identified improvements, consumer best practice and consumer journey feedback

ABOUT YOU

  1. Minimum of 3 years work experience in the mental health sector with a focus on consumer service experience
  2. Proven experience in qualitative and quantitative analysis & data collection
  3. Understanding of compliance requirements and standards in the mental health sector
  4. Commitment to consumer co-design, advocacy & continuous improvement
  5. Excellent stakeholder and consumer engagement skills
  6. Demonstrated initiative, creative thinking, analytical & problem solving skills
  7. Excellent interpersonal communication skills with people of diverse backgrounds
  8. Experience in policy and procedure writing
  9. Current NSW driving license, as well as NDIS WC and First Aid (or willingness to obtain)
  10. Unrestricted right to work in Australia

Desirable:

  • Relevant tertiary degree, e.g., in psychology, social work or community services
  • Lived experience of mental health
