ICMEC Australia serves as a crucial advocate and resource in the fight against child sexual exploitation (CSE).
Our mission is clear: to support and strengthen the professionals who detect, report, prosecute and prevent CSE facilitated online. As an independent not-for-profit organisation in Australia, we collaborate with various stakeholders, such as financial services, other corporate entities, law enforcement, policymakers, academics, and NGOs, to develop strategies to protect children from online sexual harm.
Through commitment to data-driven initiatives, training, and research, ICMEC Australia works tirelessly to prevent and combat CSE crimes, aiming to create a safer world for children.
ICMEC Australia is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our Capacity and Prevention team. In this role, you would assist the Capacity and Prevention team to develop projects that help prevent online child sexual exploitation - namely in the areas of training, research, government relations, and emerging technology. This role is ideal for an entry-level professional interested in making a positive impact in the community, developing your skillset in an outcomes-based organisation, and joining a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
ICMEC Australia is a small team, and it is essential that the successful candidate can work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
ICMEC Australia adopts a hybrid model of work, offering a blend of working from home and work from the office. Our office is based in Sydney CBD, but we’re open to flexible location options for the right candidate. If from another location in Australia, don’t let it deter you from applying.
This position is available for part-time or full-time, pending discussions with candidates. ICMEC Australia values flexible working hours, and we are open to discussing other arrangements for the right candidate.
This is a fixed term contract position lasting approximately 6 months. On conclusion of the 6-month contract there is the potential for ongoing employment opportunities with ICMEC Australia.
Applicants must be Australian Citizens or Permanent Residents.
