The opportunity

Are you a passionate Physiotherapist looking for a meaningful role in community health? We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced, client-focused physiotherapist to join our growing team at Inspiro – a friendly and supportive health service committed to delivering high-quality care to the local community. About the role

In this varied and rewarding position, you’ll work two days at our Belgrave site and two days at our Lilydale site, delivering holistic, person-centred physiotherapy to clients across a broad spectrum of needs including: musculoskeletal, chronic pain, neurological, aged care, and NDIS clients. You’ll be empowered to support clients in self-managing their health and contribute to our fee-for-service programs (e.g. GP management plans, TAC, DVA). There is an opportunity to work in women’s health space for someone with special interest and qualification in the area.

You'll also have the opportunity to lead group programs, collaborate in multi-disciplinary teams, and mentor students and Allied Health Assistants.

What you will be doingKey responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality person-centred physiotherapy services to a wide variety of clients
  • Develop client care plans which are based on client-centred goals, and coordinate with other allied health and community services to empower clients to meet these goals
  • Develop, run, and evaluate group-based programs that support clients to improve control of their own health and encourage integration into the community
  • Supervise and support Allied Health Assistants and physiotherapy students
  • Provide reports to other providers such as GPs, NDIS Support Coordinators or Aged Care Package case managers to demonstrate the effectiveness of the service in reaching the client/participants’ goals

What you will bring: Key Selection Criteria

  • Tertiary qualifications in physiotherapy and professional registration with AHPRA
  • Registration as an MBS provider (or willingness to do so)
  • Demonstrated clinical skills in the delivery of Physiotherapy services with any one of the following: progressive neurological, musculoskeletal conditions, chronic disease and age-related conditions
  • Demonstrated knowledge of and/or experience working within Chronic Care models
  • Previous experience with and/or knowledge of NDIS, My Aged Care and other client held revenue packages/sources (highly regarded)

Attributes

  • Membership of the Australian Physiotherapy Association (desirable)
  • The ability to demonstrate a broad knowledge of physiotherapy management techniques, empower self-management and ability to take collaborative approach to working within multi-disciplinary team to achieve client driven outcome
