Impact Advising are partnering with Domestic Violence NSW Service Management (DVSM) to recruit a Business Operations Lead.

This newly created, standalone role plays a crucial part in ensuring smooth and efficient business processes, working closely with leadership and frontline services to drive administrative process improvements to enhance administrative and operational functions across the organisation.

DVSM is an innovative and bold not-for-profit organisation, dedicated to supporting individuals facing domestic and family violence (DFV) and homelessness through crisis assistance, outreach, safe housing, child support, and specialist counselling across NSW. Their services provide immediate safety and long-term recovery pathways, helping individuals and families rebuild their lives.

The Impact You Will Make in the Role

In this role, you will be the engine behind the organisation, ensuring that business operations run smoothly so frontline teams can focus on their vital work. Your ability to enhance systems, processes, and technology will directly contribute to improving outcomes for vulnerable communities.

You’ll create an efficient, well-supported workplace where teams feel empowered, stakeholders receive seamless service, and operations align with the organisation’s mission. By proactively solving challenges, implementing strategic improvements, and managing administrative and office related functions, you will play a crucial role in strengthening the organisation’s long-term impact.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily business functions and maintain operational efficiency for all sites and services across head office, Western Sydney and Wilcannia teams
  • Manage day to day office systems, compliance documentation, and policy updates
  • Organise key meetings, including minute-taking
  • Oversee office technology, troubleshoot basic IT issues, and liaise with external providers
  • Lead upgrades and enhancements for internal digital tools
  • Coordinate trades and suppliers for office maintenance

To Succeed in This Role, You Will Have:

  • Qualifications and/or a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in administrative or business management roles
  • Full proficiency with office software and management tools (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite, project management software)
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • A ‘can-do’ attitude with the ability to work at both a strategic and operational level
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build collaborative stakeholder relationships both internally and externally
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with high levels of attention to detail
