Impact You Will Have

As the Community Fundraising Coordinator, you will be responsible for coordinating fundraising campaigns including ACRF’s national signature peer-to-peer 60k in May, Brave Shave, as well as a high-volume calendar of third-party events including runs and marathons and DIY – Hair Dare, Host, Challenge and Celebrate.

This role will be at the forefront of expanding and strengthening the fundraising base by building strong, long-term relationships with participants, donors and supporters to increase funds and boost ACRF’s visibility across Australia.

You will be passionate, energetic, and results-driven, executing campaigns from start to finish and showcasing excellent timeline and workflow management skills. This role will work cross-functionally with the internal marketing team and will have the support of agency partners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Community Fundraising Manager in executing project plans for national events like 60km in May, Brave Shave, and other peer-to-peer fundraising activities.
  • Manage third-party fundraising platforms, supporting custom fundraising sites and campaigns in collaboration with external and internal teams.
  • Oversee offline fundraising administration, including collecting proposals, handling fundraising documentation, and ensuring compliance with FIA Code and Policy.
  • Implement a best-in-class donor care and stewardship program focused on acquisition, activation, reactivation, loyalty, and retention in line with ACRF's strategy.
  • Acknowledge, reward, and support fundraisers, working with the Community Fundraising Manager to grow ACRF’s VIP high-value fundraisers program.
  • Assist in tracking and reporting on income and campaign outcomes.
  • Execute onboarding and stewardship for community fundraisers to increase participation, conversion rates, and fundraising success.
  • Collaborate with Marketing and Communications teams to create acquisition and promotion strategies for fundraising initiatives.
  • Provide exceptional supporter experiences to enhance campaign impact.
  • Work with the Partnerships team to identify peer-to-peer fundraising opportunities for corporate support or sponsorship.
  • Participate in executing third-party events like the Real Insurance Sydney Harbour 5k and 10k.
  • Track industry trends and share insights to help ACRF evolve in the fundraising sector.

Skills and Experience

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in fundraising / marketing or similar.
  • Previous experience in fundraising, community engagement, or campaign management is ideal.
  • Superior project management skills, with the ability to collaborate with multiple internal and external stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with third-party fundraising platforms like GoFundraise and Grassrootz.
  • High energy, donor-centric outlook, and a strong sense of initiative.
  • Goal-oriented with a solutions-focused, "can-do" attitude.
  • Excellent customer service skills and highly organised.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience with Salesforce.com or other CRM platforms.
  • Passionate about ACRF’s work to support breakthroughs and discoveries in cancer research.
