Impact you will have in this role:

Reporting to the CEO, you will research, develop and lead the successful implementation of the Foundations partnerships and commercial program focused on identifying, acquiring and engaging high-level partners with mission-focused objectives.

This is a senior strategic new business role focused on delivering results to achieve the organisation’s 5-year strategy and is an exciting career opportunity for a partnership professional with proven success securing and growing multiple partnerships.

If you have proven success creating innovative business propositions to acquire and grow strategic and commercial opportunities, then this is a fantastic opportunity for you to lead the growth of a program that directly impacts patients and the hospital community.

As part of a small, agile team, we need a proactive, self-motivated individual who is solutions-focused and can work independently while collaborating effectively with others.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with the CEO to translate the organisation’s 5-year strategy into an actionable acquisition and growth corporate fundraising plan
  • Identify and research potential high-value partnership opportunities and commercial initiatives with organisations that have mission-focused alignment
  • Manage a new business prospect pipeline, and apply strong commercial acumen and understanding of brand alignment to actively pitch and present compelling partnership opportunities
  • Create and implement a clear partnership framework and value proposition for each partner, and ensure the successful implementation and management of each partnership agreement
  • Develop contractual agreements for each partner that reflect agreed terms of engagement
  • Ensure that corporate partnership revenue targets are met or exceeded, and commit to continuous reporting and communication of progress to stakeholders
  • Lead negotiations alongside the CEO and the senior management team to maximise impact
  • Build capacity internally to harnessing strategic thinking and identify opportunities to collaborate and to support organisational objectives and key results

Skills and Experience:

  • Business degree or equivalent qualifications and substantial experience in strategic new business development
  • Proven success leading, developing and implementing new business strategic initiatives that have resulted in the commercial growth of a partnership program, ideally within the NFP / health-related sector
  • Success in building a pipeline of partnerships and identifying, researching, cultivating, pitching, and securing high-level partnerships and commercial outcomes
  • Demonstrated success delivering outcomes through partnered relationships that meet strategic goals and mutually focused objectives
  • An influential and collaborative approach in building and maintaining strong relationships with all internal and external stakeholders at all levels
  • Strong budget management experience with the ability to apply analytical thinking
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present and convey complex ideas or content to a variety of audiences Innovative thinker with strong problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated commitment to make an impact across health-focused objectives and the 5-year strategy at the POWHF
