Impact of the Organisation

Sydney Children’s Hospitals Foundation (SCHF) exists to help all sick kids, no matter where, no matter what.

As one of Australia’s most impactful children’s health charities, SCHF raises funds to support breakthrough research, advanced clinical care, and exceptional patient and family experiences across the Sydney Children’s Hospitals Network.

The Foundation has a brilliant brand, bold ambitions, and a deeply committed supporter base – making it ripe for ambitious, high-value partnerships.

SCHF has been named a 5-Star Employer of Choice for 2025 by HRD Australia! What makes this especially exciting is that out of 62 winners, they are the only NFP on the list — a powerful endorsement of how they support and empower their people.

Impact You Will Have

As Head of New Partnerships, you’ll be the driving force behind SCHF’s new business efforts; identifying, cultivating, and securing mutually beneficial, multi-faceted, and multi-year partnerships with corporate Australia.

You'll lead and inspire a small, capable team, and work across SCHF to develop compelling propositions that unlock shared value and meaningful impact.

This is a rare opportunity to build a dynamic corporate partnerships program, while contributing to transformational outcomes for sick kids and their families.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and execution of a corporate partnerships acquisition strategy aligned to SCHF’s mission and growth targets
  • Proactively identify and secure new high-value corporate partners through innovative and strategic engagement
  • Create compelling partnership pitches and engagement plans that drive long-term, shared-value collaborations
  • Inspire and manage a small team to deliver exceptional results and foster a high-performance culture
  • Collaborate across SCHF and the broader health network to align partnership offerings with mission-led programs
  • Maintain and develop a strong new business pipeline and leverage CRM tools to optimise performance and reporting
  • Contribute to budget planning and performance metrics, reporting regularly to senior leadership

Skills and Experience

  • Significant experience in corporate partnerships, fundraising, business development or sponsorships, with a track record of creating and closing major partnerships
  • A commercially minded, innovative and strategic thinker with the ability to design and deliver impactful partnership programs
  • Proven ability to manage the full partnership sales cycle; from prospecting and pitch through to negotiation and contracting
  • Commercially savvy, with an instinct for where brand, purpose, and corporate objectives intersect to create shared value
  • Capability to lead, inspire and mentor people, with a focus on collaboration and empowerment
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across internal teams, particularly account management and signature events to ensure the partner experience is seamless, strategic, and always front of mind
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Familiarity with CRM systems (e.g. Salesforce) and an ability to manage a portfolio and pipeline strategically
  • Passion for SCHF’s mission to help all sick kids, no matter where, no matter what and a desire to play a key role in delivering real impact through strategic partnerships
