In 2025, our team is growing! Our capacity-building program, Impact 2 Innovate, is hands-on and designed to equip impact-driven enterprises with the tools, strategies, and networks needed to succeed.

We focus on:

  • Helping social enterprises develop strong, scalable business models that integrate both financial sustainability and impact.
  • Shifting from reliance on external funding to revenue generation.
  • Building strong leadership teams with business and social sector expertise.
  • Creating strategic partnerships to enhance operational efficiency and funding opportunities.
  • Implementing robust impact measurement frameworks to demonstrate value to stakeholders.

We work across diverse industries, helping founders and impact leaders navigate different markets, business models, and growth challenges. Amongst the 100+ impact enterprises we have worked with, some recent examples include Loop Upcycling, Reboot Australia, Juluwarlu (and Yindjibarndi Nation), FISH (Foundation for Indigenous Sustainable Health), St Pat’s, Mettle Women, Aboriginal Arts Centre Hub WA, and Redrawn.

Now, we’re looking for an Enterprise Development Specialist to join us in empowering our current partners as well as the next generation of impact-driven businesses.

About the Role

This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a dynamic, project-based environment and enjoys working across multiple sectors. You’ll provide practical, hands-on support to First Nations and non-Indigenous impact-driven enterprises, helping them refine their business models, explore revenue opportunities, and develop the leadership capacity needed to scale.

As a key member of our team, you’ll bring hands-on experience and expertise growing a startup or small business operations and a deep understanding and cultural competence working with First Nations organisations and communities. You’ll work collaboratively with founders, investors, and ecosystem partners to drive long-term impact.

Key Responsibilities

  • Business Strategy & Advisory: Work with social enterprises to develop sustainable business models that generate revenue while delivering impact.
  • Financial Sustainability: Help organisations shift from grant reliance to self-sustaining revenue streams.
  • Leadership & Capacity Building: Support teams in developing the skills and structures needed for long-term success.
  • Market & Business Model Analysis: Understand and advise on different industry sectors and business models.
  • Partnership Development: Identify and cultivate strategic collaborations that enhance operational efficiency and funding opportunities.
  • Impact Measurement: Implement frameworks that demonstrate social and financial value to stakeholders.
  • Project Management: Lead and contribute to various client projects, managing timelines, deliverables, and stakeholder relationships.

About You – Skills & Experience

Must-Have:

  • Recent experience growing a startup or small business – You understand the fast-paced, resource-constrained nature of growing a business including all the financial, regulatory and tax obligations that come with operating a business .
  • Experience working with First Nations organisations – You have a strong understanding of cultural considerations, governance, and economic development.
  • Business acumen – Ideally, you have business qualifications in addition to your experience in entrepreneurship
  • Adaptability & curiosity – You thrive in dynamic, project-based work and can shift contexts across industries and business models.
  • Problem-solving mindset – You’re proactive in identifying challenges and opportunities for social enterprises.

Bonus Skills:

  • Experience living and working in regional WA
  • Established networks in WA’s social enterprise or innovation ecosystems
  • Experience in investment readiness, social finance, or impact investing
  • Strong facilitation and coaching skills
  • Knowledge of impact measurement and ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) principles
