The Role
This position will ensure work across all businesses to support compliance with relevant legislation/regulations, policies and the implementation of best practice safety management practices.

The Work Health & safety Advisor’s key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Develop, implement and maintain IA’s Workplace Health & Safety (WHS) Management system to ensure compliance with relevant standards e.g., ISO 45001, including the development, consultation, implementation and ongoing improvement of processes and procedures.
- Management of occupational health and safety including surveillance and monitoring.
- Ensure maintenance of current systems and the provision of up to date WHS related policies and procedures for all staff.
- Promote compliance to WHS Management System in accordance with the requirements of legislation, regulation and relevant Australian Standards and guidelines.
- Develop and review policies, procedures and processes to ensure the provision of effective health and safety management systems and programs.
- Undertake site inspections, incident investigations and internal WHS Audits.
What will make you successful?
To be a standout applicant you will need:
- Tertiary / Postgraduate qualification(s) in Work Health and Safety (WHS) or other relevant;
- 4+ years' experience in a similar role within Health and Safety teams;
- Demonstrated understanding of relevant legislation, regulation, and Standards (e.g. ISO 45001) across Australian States;
- Ability to develop project related documents, preparing reports and monitoring compliance documentation;
- Practical knowledge of risk assessment and development of risk controls;
- Recent experience in supporting and monitoring contemporary safety management system;
