Hours per fortnight

Duties
- Triage, review and assess whether the management of misconduct matters by public authorities complies with legislation, policy and good practice.
- Conduct audits, research reports, reviews of regulatory mechanisms monitored by the Commission, and complete other reports and projects as required.
- Plan and manage – independently and with others – complex and/or sensitive and high-profile assessments and investigations utilising the powers of assessors and investigators under the Integrity Commission Act 2009. Consider and analyse evidence, and make findings and recommendations.
- Prepare accurate, logical, succinct and timely reports and other written materials.
- Develop and maintain effective relationships and strategic networks with internal and external stakeholders to identify ongoing and emerging issues and trends, educate on good practice and policy and legislative obligations; and provide high-level advice to the senior management group.
- The incumbent can expect to be allocated duties, not specifically mentioned in this document, that are within the capacity, qualifications and experience normally expected from persons occupying positions at this classification level.
Essential Requirements
The successful appointee must satisfy:
- A security vetting process to obtain Baseline security clearance (access to classified information and resources up to and including PROTECTED). This process requires the Australian Government Security Vetting Agency to collect personal information to assess suitability.
- A pre-employment check on any disciplinary or managerial action in any previous employment.
- Identification check.
Desirable Requirements
- Relevant tertiary qualification, such as law.
- A Certificate III in Investigative Services; or Certificate IV or Diploma in Investigations; or Diploma in Government (Investigations) would be highly regarded.
- Experience working in a confidential or sensitive environment.
