The Aboriginal Health Team have an exciting and newly created opportunity as a Social and Emotional Wellbeing Officer to join this close knit team!
As an integral member of this team you will apply your well developed communication and interpersonal skills to engage with the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community and support them to improve and achieve their wellbeing goals. With your excellent organisational and coordination skills, you will assist with the coordination and delivery of a range of meaningful activities such as yarning circles, excursions, fortnightly kitchen programs, etc to develop social and independency skills,.
Social and Emotional Wellbeing activities will complement our Care Coordination program with clients able to attend scheduled programs as it fits in with their overarching goals. As a Social and Emotional Wellbeing Officer, you will be responsible for delivery of activities and consulting with clients so that they may be linked with the most relevant group and social activity for their goals and circumstances.
This role will also see you building partnerships with local communities and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander focussed organisation to enhance service delivery and improve outcomes for our clients.
We will support you with coaching and guidance, including supervision and supports you need to ensure your success.
Based at our Wyndham Vale campus, this role is a 0.4TE Part Time Fixed Term (Funding based activity - Project) until June 2023, with the possibility of extension.
This role is classified as a Social and Community Services Employee Level 3 under the Community Health Centre (Stand Alone Services) Social and Community Service Employees Multi Enterprise Agreement 2017, offering SACs Level 3 Total Remuneration Package $74,325 - $79,697 pa including 10.5% super (Pro Rata Part Time).
