We invite you to be a part of the passionate, creative, and innovative team at IPC Heath. We are looking to recruit a Grade 1 or Grade 2 Paediatric Speech Pathologist to provide services in our Autism Clinic.

Our service provides ASD assessment and soon to commence intervention services. Speech Pathologists are part of a broader multi-disciplinary assessment team comprising Occupational Therapists, Developmental Psychologists, wellbeing coordinators and paediatricians. The team work collaboratively to provide screening, assessment, intervention and referral services. Service provision embodies family- centred care within a social model of health.

You will make a difference by

  • Working collaboratively with the ASD Team to plan service delivery for the communities we serve in the Wyndham, and Hobson’s Bay municipalities.
  • Assessing and reviewing children’s speech and language skills
  • Implementing interventions that will address the needs and priorities of the children and their families.
  • Delivering services in a variety of formats including telehealth, clinical, individual and group.
  • Reflecting, evaluating, and modifying services to enhance outcomes.

To succeed, you will need:

  • Graduate or post-graduate degree in speech pathology .
  • Some experience working in Paediatric Speech Pathology (desirable not essential) for consideration as a Grade 1 clinician.
  • Minimum 1-2 years’ experience working as a Paediatric Speech Pathologist for consideration as a Grade 2 clinician.
  • ADOS trained or willingness to up skill.
  • Willingness to learn and be supported by senior clinicians.
  • Emerging ability (Grade 1) to work collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary team to develop and implement evidence-based programs that meet the daily living and wellbeing goals for children.
  • Ability (Grade 2) to work collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary team to develop and implement evidence-based programs that meet the daily living and wellbeing goals for children.
  • Strong communication, networking, and interpersonal skills.
  • An ability to actively engage children and their families in a group setting.
  • Current and valid Victorian Working with Children’s Check and driver’s licence.
