You are a Support Worker looking for paid work in Redbank Plains and are passionate about making a real impact. You have experience with Mental Health, particularly BPD and PTSD. You would like to work with people with disability, some of which may include complex behaviours and require assistance with accessing day-to-day community interactions.

The role of support worker will nurture face-to-face and one-to-one interactions with vulnerable persons who will be carefully selected to match your skillset, personality, and experience. At Jac’s Place we promote safe and peaceful environments which require the implementation of professional boundaries. All team members have supervision and training so that we thrive in our community.

About the role:

• Working in participant homes, located in Redbank Plains, Ipswich QLD
• Supporting participants with community access and daily living (NO Personal Care)
• You will be part of a team rostered on throughout the week, where household tasks may be required from time to time
• Writing progress notes and incident reports during your shift
• You have a smartphone and are able to use basic IT apps, programs, and systems
• Flexibility to work with short notice from time to time providing coverage for staff who are unable to work on the same day or week

Commences

As soon as available! We are always looking for passionate and committed workers to join our team! We do our best to onboard new hires and get them into the field as soon as possible, with buddy shifts, supervision, and consistent training.

Remuneration

Casual base rate is from $30.61 - $40.26 plus shift loading, dependent on qualifications and experience, and based on the SCHADS award (however we do pay over award for sleepovers).

Contract Type

Casual, with view to permanent.

Contract Hours

Shift work from 2-8 hours 7 days a week. Dependent on availability.

• 100 points ID - Passport/Driving License/Aged Card etc.
• Rights to Work in Australia (Birth Certificate/VEVO)
• Driver's license & car
• NDIS Orientation Certificate (or willing to obtain)
• Qualification in Individual Support or Human Services (obtained or currently studying)
• Working with Children Check (or willing to obtain)
• NDIS Screening (or willing to obtain)
• First Aid & CPR certificate (or willing to obtain)
• Comprehensive Car Insurance (or willing to obtain)
• COVID Vaccinations (Minimum 2 shots)
