Japara Neighbourhood House manages the Kilsyth Living and Learning Centre and Bridge Community House and has a Strategic Vision and Plan to advance community engagement in the Montrose, Kilsyth and surrounding communities. Japara has a dedicated and experienced Board of Management that reflects the essential values of strong community management. Japara’s vision is to strive for a ‘connected, thriving and inspired community’ based on values of ‘service excellence, respect and passion’ to ‘welcome, listen, learn and inspire others to step forward’.
Japara Neighbourhood House is seeking an enthusiastic and committed person with experience and passion to advance community engagement and provide leadership for the Japara community engagement team.
The successful person will actively advance community engagement in the Kilsyth and Montrose communities through direct action and leadership of the community engagement team. The successful person will oversee the development of the Japara Living and Learning Centre and Bridge Community House as vibrant community engagement venues.
Japara is seeking an energetic, passionate person who believes in community engagement and community management and can bring a team and community together to advance and evolve the Japara Strategic Plan.
The position is 25 hours a week, permanent part time at Level 6 - Neighbourhood House and Adult Community Education Centres Collective Agreement 2016. The Japara Board would expect and support an enthusiastic person to develop the scope and extent of the position over time and Japara’s community engagement outcomes.
