The ACT Victims of Crime Commissioner is seeking individuals to join Victim Support ACT’s new Sexual Violence Response team to provide trauma-informed advocacy and support to victim-survivors of sexual violence.
The Senior Advocate will be committed to promoting the recovery of victim-survivors and will work closely with justice agencies, including ACT Policing, the DPP and the Courts, to advocate for the rights and interests of victim-survivors in the justice system in accordance with the Charter of Victims Rights in the Victims of Crime Act 1994. As the Senior Advocate you will also provide support and guidance to other members of the Sexual Violence Response team as well as the broader VSACT team.
This is an exciting new role which requires experience providing support and advocacy for sexual violence victim-survivors.

This is a full-time permanent position available immediately. A merit pool will be established from this selection process and may be used to fill future similar vacancies over the next 12 months. Selection may be based on application and referee reports only.
