Due to continued growth, an exciting opportunity is available for administrative professionals to join a leading women’s health clinic based in East Melbourne. We are looking for 1 full-time receptionist.

About us

Jean Hailes for Women's Health is a national, not-for-profit organisation dedicated to improving women's health throughout the various stages of their lives. We combine research, clinical care, policy work and practical education for women and health professionals.

About the role

This is an exciting opportunity to become a member of a friendly team of patient services team within a medical clinic focused on providing exceptional health care for all women. You will be the first point of contact for patients and provide valuable administrative support to our diverse clinical team. This is a busy and varied role that will enable you to learn a wide range of new skills and develop a broad knowledge of women’s health.

About you

This role is ideal for candidates interested in working in women’s health, who have excellent customer service skills, are enthusiastic team members, and who enjoy variation in their work. Finding the right people is very important to us, although prior medical experience is desirable, it is not essential. For the right people who display a can-do attitude and willingness to learn, we will provide on the job training and development.

Essential and required skills:

  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to handle a high-pressure environment
  • Excellent multi-tasking skills
  • Ability to work within a team and autonomously
  • A can-do attitude and willingness to learn
  • Proof of COVID-19 vaccination
  • A valid working visa/Australian citizenship

Desired or highly valued skills:

  • Healthcare experience
  • Proficiency in Medical Director and Pracsoft, Best Practice or Genie
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, procedures and billing
  • An understanding of privacy and confidentiality in a healthcare setting
