About the role:

You will be assisting the Leisure & Lifestyle Coordinator to provide leadership, coaching, and direction to residential teams that drives a holistic approach to support our residents. The Leisure & Lifestyle Assistant assists in maintaining a diverse suite of formal and informal group programs both in-house and out in the broader community including those that are social, recreational, cultural, and spiritual. 

You will be great if you have:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A warm, compassionate and caring nature with genuine respect for cultural diversity and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to work as a team and monitor our residents' needs and wellbeing.
  • Certificate IV in Leisure and Health or Certificate III in Individual Support. 
  • Two years' experience working as a Leisure & Lifestyle Assistant in an aged care or a community environment.
  • A 'can do', willing and creative attitude.
  • NDIS Worker screening number. 
  • Evidence of covid 19 vaccines and 2025 influenza vaccine.
  • Multilingual (desirable) especially Russian, Hebrew, and/or Yiddish.
