Staying Home Leaving Violence (SHLV) supports women and families living in the Eastern Suburbs.

In this role, you will be part of a collaborative team of dedicated and passionate Caseworkers. You will support women experiencing Domestic and Family Violence (DFV) to stay safely in their own home or a home of their choice. This is done through providing case management, safety planning support and referrals to relevant social and community services. 

In addition to your previous experience, strong interpersonal communication skills, organisational, time management and practical administration skills are essential to succeed in this role and ensure women and their families are supported in an empathetic and supportive manner.

You will bring to this role:

  • Commitment to the values of The JNC
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or demonstrated equivalent experience
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of the full range of issues relevant to working with women and children experiencing DFV.
  • Demonstrated experience in delivery of services to support women who are experiencing DFV including casework or case management, advocacy, support and referral 
  • Knowledge and understanding of the Staying Home Leaving Violence Program and familiarity with the program guidelines 

This part time position is a fixed term contract to June 30th 2026 with extension dependent on continued funding. You will work 28 hours per week from Maroubra and Bondi Junction centres.
