VACRO is a non-government, non-denominational organisation working with people in contact with the criminal justice system and their families. Founded in 1872 (as the Discharged Prisoners’ Aid Society of Victoria), VACRO works closely with government and non-profit organisations.
We are recruiting for 2 x Part-time Family Visits Support Workers, the first one for our Barwon prison location and the second for Karreenga and Marngoneet prison locations.
The Family visits Program aims to promote family connectedness, build and strengthen women’s engagement skills, and cultivate positive pro-social relationships through video sessions. Bring your well-developed interpersonal skills and passion to support families impacted by the justice system.
This position offers flexible working arrangements including prison-based work and remote- work from home. Occasional evening work is required. This role involves service delivery of a new program so flexibility to adapt to changes for continued success of the program is essential.
