WHAT WE DO

SGCH provides sustainable, safe and affordable housing as the foundation for our customers to connect to opportunities and build their communities. As a Tier 1 provider under the National Regulatory System for Community Housing, SGCH offers subsidised rental housing for people on low to moderate incomes. We are a profit-for-purpose organisation that receives income from rent and reinvests it to deliver maintenance services and increase the supply of social and affordable housing. ABOUT THE ROLE

SGCH has a full-time contract opportunity till the 30 June 2025 for a passionate and experienced Tenancy Manager to join our South West Sydney region. Based at our Liverpool, Bonnyrigg and Fairfield offices, this role requires you to travel to properties in your portfolio.

The work of a Tenancy Manager is critical to our business, you are the main point of contact for tenants to access our services and you set the standard for a positive customer experience. You are customer service focused and responsive to tenant requests – working to address day to day tenancy matters as quickly as possible and more broadly supporting tenants to link to services they need to improve their health and wellbeing and sustain their tenancy. You work as part of a team of dedicated SGCH team members including support coordinators and placemaking teams, and external partner organisations with a shared purpose to improve outcomes for tenants and social housing communities.

To succeed in this role, you will have experience in and passion to sustain tenancies for our customers by proactively managing property care, tenant arrears and debt and anti-social behaviour.

ABOUT YOU

The successful candidate for this role will have:

  • Experience in property management in the real estate industry or in public or community housing sector, preferably with experience comfortably managing a portfolio
  • Knowledge and understanding of NSW Residential Tenancies Act 2010
  • Experience working with vulnerable people from diverse backgrounds and cultures, including those experiencing homelessness, rough sleepers, people managing mental health issues, experiencing domestic and family violence, people with disability, young people, older people
  • Good written and verbal communication skills including interpersonal skills and the ability to negotiate
  • Driven and self-motivated with a learning mindset, with the ability to work independently
  • A caring manner with patience and integrity to deliver the best outcomes for our customers
  • Current NSW drivers license.
