The Organisation

Based in the Melbourne CBD, our high-profile client is iconic, and provides outstanding support to its community. It does this by providing personalised assistance to its members, such as advocacy, health and well-being services, financial assistance, and counselling.

The Role

Reporting to the Executive General Manager of Fundraising, Marketing & Communications, the Senior Manager, Development is responsible for leading and managing the Development/Fundraising team to grow revenue and establish business processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the development team to achieve fundraising and partnership goals.
• Develop and implement data-driven strategies for donor acquisition, retention, and growth.
• Oversee the use of Salesforce or similar CRM systems to manage donor relationships and track fundraising activities.
• Coordinate and manage fundraising campaigns, events, and initiatives.
• Build and maintain relationships with major donors, corporate partners, and other key stakeholders
• Prepare and present reports on fundraising performance for the Executive Leadership Team, providing insights and recommendations.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and best practices in fundraising and donor management.
• Provide leadership and support for change management initiatives within the development team.

The Person

You will be hands-on, yet have experience in leading a small fundraising team, and in developing a successful fundraising function.
You would also have experience in Corporate Partnerships, Major Appeals, and ideally (but not necessarily) Gifts in Wills / Bequests, as well as:

• Demonstrated success in closing >$500K gifts and/or partnership agreements.
• Extensive experience with Salesforce or similar CRM systems.
• Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

The Offer

This is a full-time, permanent position. A competitive salary package is on offer of $140K plus superannuation, and full PBI/NFP salary packaging arrangements. A hybrid working arrangement is also available.
