Hitnet is looking for a junior developer to be their ongoing Javascript developer. We seek a person with some experience of Javascript frameworks and any additional experience with the creation of multimedia content, presentations, or animations would also be helpful. The work is fun, very visual, and highly rewarding.

Our current Javascript developer has been in the role for 5 years, is overskilled for this role and would like to see the role handed over to a junior developer. They are willing to hand-over/ provide mentoring, if required.

This is great opportunity for an IT student or early graduate looking for work experience and additional income. The role is flexible so can fit around studies.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

Create and update Hitnet content channels in HTML5 on our Linux OS platform and newly created mobile app.

Key Working Relationships:

• With the Hitnet team – CEO, Ops Manager, Senior Software developer, Graphic Designer

Required Skills & Experience:

• Experience and knowledge of Javascript generally and of any frameworks would be beneficial (the entire code base is well setup and easy to use)
• Experience with Linux would also be beneficial
• Some knowledge with 'git' or any version control software would be good
• Basic photo editing skills and working with photo editing tools is a plus
• Able to work remotely and autonomously as part of a virtual team
