Key Responsibilities:
- Case Management: Provide person-centred, strength-based, and trauma-informed case management to support individual young people and their families.
- Program Design & Delivery: Manage and facilitate community activities and programs, including design, implementation, budgeting, and evaluation.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders, working collaboratively with people from various age groups, genders, and cultural backgrounds.
- Education Programs: Facilitate and deliver educational programs to young people to empower them with valuable life skills.
- Communication & Reporting: Produce high-quality reports, presentations, and grant applications, ensuring all documentation meets required standards.
- Cultural Competency: Work with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children, families, and communities, demonstrating respect and understanding of cultural needs.
Job Requirements:
To be considered for this role, you must demonstrate the following:
- Legal right to work in Australia for a minimum of 28 hours per week.
- A minimum Diploma-level qualification in Social Work, Youth Work, or Community Studies.
- Proven ability to address all Essential Criteria and Desirable Criteria outlined in the job description.
- A valid driver’s license and a comprehensively insured car.
- Demonstrated experience in case management, project management, and facilitation of community-based programs.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, including report writing, presentations, and grant writing.
Additional Skills & Experience:
- A Bachelor’s degree or higher in Social Work, Youth Work, or a related field.
- Experience with NSW Targeted Early Intervention Programs or similar initiatives.
- Additional certifications such as Mental Health First Aid or Child Protection.
- Proven experience with vulnerable young people or those facing significant challenges.
- Experience in grant writing, fundraising, and managing funded programs.
- Fluency in additional languages is a plus.
