Kara Family Violence Service ( also known as Kara House Inc) is a specialist family violence service that provides crisis accommodation, transitional housing and outreach support to women and children experiencing family violence. We have a vacancy for a specialist family violence practitioner (refuge) to join our friendly team. Family violence experience in a refuge environment essential.
The successful applicant will provide holistic and strengths based case management support to women, those who identify as women, and children experiencing family violence, including risk assessment and safety planning, from our core and cluster site in the City of Monash. The role also involves outreach and transitional housing support with clients in the community and the provision of rostered backup (by phone) after a qualifying period.
Reporting to the Manager, Team Leader and Senior Practitioner, the successful candidate will receive competitive remuneration according to the SCHADS Award, the Level dependent on experience (range 85,000-$110,000), plus superannuation and access to salary packaging, training and professional development opportunities including EAP, supervision and reflective practice.
The position is full time , 76 hrs per fortnight.
