About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Business Operations Manager to join our Executive Team at Karla Kuliny. This key leadership role is responsible for driving operational excellence across the organisation, including Human Resources, Financial Management, Corporate Governance, Marketing and Communications, and Continuous Improvement.

The Business Operations Manager plays a critical role in supporting our strategic objectives and operational needs, working collaboratively with the CEO, Program Manager, and Team Leader Community Foster Care and Home Stretch. This is an exciting opportunity to lead and contribute to initiatives that strengthen our programs and help us achieve our vision and purpose.

This role is ideal for an operational leader with strong organisational skills, strategic acumen, and a commitment to fostering positive outcomes in the community sector

Key Selection Criteria/About You:

For this role, you should possess:

Essential

  • Proficient in Financial, Human Resources and Infrastructure systems
  • Experience working with diverse Aboriginal groups and communities and a knowledge and practical application of Aboriginal Culture, Protocols and Terms of Reference
  • High level of conceptual, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Effective interpersonal and organisational skills
  • Demonstrated ability to implement practices that address and support organisational change
  • Experience in preparing reports, submissions to evaluate service delivery
  • Demonstrated record of the ability to source funds and other forms of support from a range of sources (including philanthropic, government and corporate)

Desirable

  • Previous experience in senior management in an Aboriginal Organisation
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications or a related discipline in Business Administration, Human Resource Management or equivalent
  • Aboriginality
  • Sound computer skills, experience working with MS Office programs and data management systems
