We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Training and Learning Leader to join our team and drive the success of our Vocational Education and Training (VET) programs.
Role Purpose:
As the Training and Learning Leader, you will play a pivotal role in supporting adult and community education. Reporting to the CEO and as part of the Leadership Team, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and evaluating the performance of our Registered Training Organisation (RTO) in line with our strategic and operational goals. You will collaborate closely with the Leadership Team to ensure high-quality training programs and regulatory compliance. This role is full-time however 4 days per week will be considered for the right applicant.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide operational thought leadership in adult education training and learning.
- Lead and support a team of Coordinators, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
- Ensure full utilisation of funded training enrolment places and oversee budget management.
- Meet student outcome targets, including retention, satisfaction, learning, and employment outcomes.
- Oversee training, assessment, and support for students facing barriers, including those with disabilities, at-risk youth, and culturally and linguistically diverse communities.
- Drive change to ensure sustainability of the organisation and continuous improvement of our offering.
- Foster a culture of excellence, continuous improvement, collaboration, and innovation.
- Secure employer partnerships and funding to support the growth and sustainability of our VET Program.
Measures of Success:
- Timely execution of course schedules within budget.
- Positive student feedback on training methods and inclusivity.
- Improved outcomes for disadvantaged students.
- Full utilisation of Smart and Skilled funding caps.
- Achievement of ACE targets within specified timelines.
- Successful delivery of quality and compliant training packages.
Selection Criteria:
- Proven track record in achieving KPIs and managing direct reports.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to lead high-performance teams.

- High productivity and ability to multi-task effectively.
- Sound financial understanding, including budget management experience.
- Proven ability to build and maintain effective working relationships.
- Intimate understanding of RTOs and accredited training.
- Effective grant and/or tender writing skills.
- Understanding of, and/or experience in developing, quality outcomes frameworks.
Qualifications:
- Degree in Education, Vocational Education, Business Administration, or a related field and/or equivalent experience.
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or willingness to obtain.
- Minimum 4 years’ experience in vocational education or training with at least 2 years’ experience in a managerial role.
- Current driver’s license and access to a registered personal vehicle.
- Current Working with Children Check.
