Kensington Neighbourhood House (KNH) is a community-managed charity focused on advancing mental health outcomes and reducing social isolation. We provide opportunities for connection through a range of low-cost activities, social groups, volunteering roles and whole-of-family education and recreation programs. Each year we welcome more than 1,000 people through our doors. You can read more about our house here.
KNH has been offering art classes to the community for over 20 years. We offer both adult and children’s classes. “Creative Art For Kids” runs across 4 classes, two afternoons a week. Average attendance for these classes is between 8 and 10 children. The classes are divided by age – 5 to 8 year olds and 9 to 12 year olds. All materials and art supplies are provided by KNH.
Help maintain a warm and caring environment which encourages participants to feel safe and welcome. This includes promoting principles of equity and respect between participants, volunteers, staff and the wider community.
