Kensington Neighbourhood House (KNH) offers a range of recreational, social, educational and vocational classes. Our programs cater to the whole community but we maintain an emphasis on removing barriers to participation for people experiencing disadvantage, families and older adults. Kensington Neighbourhood House operates on community development principles. We work to establish a just society and build a harmonious community which respects diverse backgrounds.

The Flemington Homework Clubs will be integrated within a highly successful partnership project that is already in its third year of operation. The Debney Meadows Community Hub focuses exclusively on building thriving relationships between families, the school, and the broader community.
This is a part-time fixed term position, 6 hours per week role.
The Literacy Specialist will be responsible for implementing Little Learners Love Literacy (LLLL) as the intervention program, facilitate small group sessions and maintain student records and assessments.
The goal is to support children with their schooling while connecting them and their families to broader opportunities for education, recreation, volunteering and wellbeing.
This is a great role for anyone who is passionate about literacy intervention and community development. We are seeking someone who would like to make this element of the program their own, and become the 'go-to' person for everything literacy related. You must have a qualification in education, or be working towards one.
Please read the attached position description for full details of the role.
