Role & Responsibilities

  • Work with Support Coordinators, Occupational Therapists, and KinKera Community Support Provider collaborators to identify appropriate tenants & Support service recipients.
  • Guide people and stakeholders through KinKera’s SDA application process; intake assessment, resident matching, and suitability based on KinKera’s SDA design and features.
  • Identify short- and long-term risks with establishing and maintaining residency.
  • Provide exceptional customer experience to participants entering the KinKera Community residence journey.
  • Participate and represent KinKera in state-based community events and disability expos.
  • Support the development of SDA services to ensure positive customer experiences.
  • Develop and maintain strong, productive & collaborative professional relationships with key stakeholders – NDIA, OTs, SCs, and state-based Health Services.
  • Assist General Manager with fulfillment and management of Hospital-to-Home transitional accommodation service sites.
  • Always embrace feedback and the value of continuous improvement of all aspects of your role and broader business processes to strive toward operational effectiveness.
  • Provide collaborative advice, direction, and support to the internal stakeholders as required to support the development of operational and strategic business objectives.
  • Maintain a strong and current understanding of NDIS and NDIS Commission standards, requirements and Specialist Disability Accommodation guidelines.
  • Adhere to responsibilities as outlined in the KinKera Community Workplace Health & Safety Policies and actively participate in all safety initiatives.

  • Potential residents at KinKera Community Properties; their families and informal supports
  • NDIA, Local Area Coordinators, Partners in Community
  • Health service providers, community service providers & Support Coordinators working with people that have potential to be SDA eligible.
  • Clients in Hospital-to-Home transitional accommodation services; their Health Service supports; Disability support providers & informal supports.
  • KinKera Customer Experience Team (internal)

Applicant Requirements

Essential:

  • A focus on positive customer outcomes with excellent communication skills and experience.
  • Experience working within the NDIS markets and working with NDIS participants especially people that may have behaviours that concern other people.
  • Demonstrated understanding of NDIS, in particular, Specialist Disability Accommodation and Independent Living support services such as SIL, ILO, and flexible Core.
  • Capacity to work collaboratively and effectively across multi-disciplinary teams both internally and externally.
  • Evidence of a current driver’s license and willingness to travel for work-related activities.
  • Demonstrated organisational ability in time management, meeting deadlines, and productivity targets.
  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously, flexibly, and conjointly with staff from other disciplines as part of a client-focused, geographically dispersed, multi-disciplinary team.
  • NDIS Worker Screening, relevant state check (WWCC), and completion of NDIS commission worker orientation and supporting communication modules.

Desirable:

  • Lived experience of disability
  • Lived experience of the NDIS SDA participation journey
  • Brisbane location but not essential.
