Part of the Knoxbrooke Enterprises group, Yarra View Bushland Flora Nurseries are leading wholesale plant nurseries located in beautiful Mount Evelyn, Victoria. We produce a broad range of plants across our 3 nursery sites and have customers across the south-eastern states of Australia that includes retailers, landscapers, councils and construction firms. We are one of Australia’s leading social enterprises organisations, providing supported employment and training opportunities for people living with a disability, in a true commercial environment. You can find our plants along the recently opened Mordialloc Freeway project as well as the Bayswater and Heatherdale Station projects.

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

This newly created full-time opportunity will be responsible for ensuring accuracy of stock information within Yarra View Bushland Nursery (YVB) systems, ensuring pictorial labels are managed effectively and assisting the Production Planner with coordinating the implementation of the production plan.

Your tasks will also include:

• Use of the Inventory System (Evergreen Connect).
• Conducting regular and accurate inventory checks.
• Take appropriate photos of stock and stock batches to be used for weekly marketing communications, websites etc.
• Identify stock lines for promotion and assist the Communications Co-ordinator with preparing weekly communications to customers on stock availability and specials.
• Assist the Commercial Projects Co-ordinator with allocation and labelling of stock sold for projects and provide reports on stock performance against project timings.
• Assist the Retail Merchandising Co-ordinator with selecting and allocating stock to be allocated and sold in the Retail store.
• Assist with the ongoing development of the Inventory System including liaising with other nursery staff and the system developers as required.

ABOUT YOU

This role requires a person with experience working within a wholesale plant nursery and demonstrated strong inventory systems knowledge (Evergreen Connect system knowledge is an advantage). You bring to this role a high level of detail orientation, high level computer literacy and strong plant identification skills. We are seeking a proactive, solution focussed team member who has the ability to communicate and build relationships with people of diverse abilities.

Please note requirements of these roles will also include:

• A current Victorian drivers’ licence
• Evidence of COVID-19 vaccination or authorised medical exemption
• Willingness to undertake a NDIS Worker Screening Check
• Evidence of the right to work in Australia
