Kokoda Track Foundation (KTF) is an Australian international aid and development organisation working in Papua New Guinea (PNG). We work closely with people and communities to improve lives and futures of Papua New Guineans by assisting remote and rural communities with access to elementary and primary education; improving access to quality and accessible healthcare; improving equality and access to sustainable income-generation opportunities, especially for women; and fostering the next generation of leaders.
KTF is seeking a highly motivated candidate to assist with coordinating the eLearning project, supporting the rollout in rural and remote Papua New Guinea. The eLearning program, an SDP initiative implemented in partnership with KTF, is a holistic teacher and school support program centred around a bespoke Professional Development package for teachers. This project includes aligned coaching and supported resources for those teachers and schools that have had less opportunity to strengthen their teaching skills over years of being in their profession and are teaching in the most challenging of circumstances in rural and remote PNG. This project is innovative in seeking educational solutions through technology and teachers' classroom impact. The eLearning program requires significant administration and coordination efforts from KTF Australia and KTF PNG. The role is heavily geared towards logistics coordination and administration and would be perfect for a passionate and enthusiastic individual seeking to enter the international development sector.
The role involves tracking and monitoring resource delivery and implementation of eLearning materials, and national and international logistics of project resources, travel and transport. It supports the access to and implementation of professional development materials in workshops and outreach modes for those delivering the modules, and includes travel to these workshops for in-person support. The role facilitates communication between KTF, project partners and in-field staff, and assists with human resource and project monitoring and evaluation activities.
We seek a person with excellent organisational and communication skills, both verbal and written, and with the ability to coordinate multiple tasks at a time, each with competing priorities. Problem-solving skills are very important, as is the ability to listen to and appreciate different perspectives while demonstrating adaptability and care. You will work in a fast-paced working environment with minimal instruction, and require strong skills in Google Suite and Microsoft Office, intermediate spreadsheet skills, and general level technology skills.
KTF puts people first with benefits focused on enhancing personal wellbeing such as access to a wellbeing and meditation app, flexible working arrangements, professional development opportunities, access to counselling and psychology support, regular staff development and team building days, and access to salary packaging benefits.
Applicants must have the right to work in Australia.
KTF is a child safe organisation committed to the protection of people we serve. Our recruitment and selection procedures are designed to ensure we only recruit people who are suitable and aligned with our policies that ensure the safety of children and protection of all from sexual exploitation, abuse and harassment. All appointments are subject to appropriate background checks and screening and the successful candidate will be required to get a Working with Children check and/or a Police Certificate.
We promote diversity and equality in all our practices and strongly encourage those with diverse backgrounds and/or disabilities and or those who identify as LGBTQI+ to apply for positions with KTF.
