Koongoora Inc is seeking an experienced Finance/Administration Officer to join our small, professional and dedicated team.
This position is Locum Part Time and 22.8 hours per week for 12 months. The position is paid as per the SCHADS award schedule C - Pay level 2.1 (Pay Equity Agreement) with Salary sacrifice available.
Koongoora Inc is an incorporated, not-for-profit, non-government Community organisation that receives funding from the Department of Justice & Attorney-General to provide crisis, short term, supported accommodation for women and children escaping Domestic and Family violence.
The organisation works from a framework that incorporates Feminist and Social Justice Principles providing high quality services which are culturally inclusive, non-judgemental, respectful, client focused, and strength based.
Our mission is to support women and children to escape Domestic and Family Violence, to experience a safe and secure environment, and to feel validated and empowered in making informed choices for their future direction.
Finance/Administration Officer, in consultation with the Manager, will:
initiate, implement and maintain administrative systems, operate the computerised accounting system and provide administrative support for the Manager and staff.
be responsible for the day-to-day financial and administrative tasks including accounts, payroll, maintenance, rental income, monthly financial reports for the management committee, maintaining policies and administrative systems.
Work as part of the team and assisting other members with tasks which may not be listed within the position description however are reasonable and appropriate.
Qualifications in Business Administration and/or 2 years’ relevant experience in bookkeeping and office administration.
Current Working with Children Blue Card
Current Driving license
The successful applicant will have an understanding of and a commitment to a feminist analysis of domestic violence, social justice values, beliefs and attitudes and be passionate about assisting women and children live free from abuse.
