We are currently in search of compassionate and experienced Disability Support Workers to join our team.

As a Disability Support Worker, you will play a crucial role in supporting and empowering individuals with disabilities to lead lives according to their preferences. Operating within both team settings and autonomously, you will deliver various services aimed at fostering independent living, community involvement, and engagement in meaningful pursuits.

ABOUT THE PARTCIPANT:

• Acquired Brain Injury (ABI) - no behaviours.
• Uses walker
• 24/7 Care
• Shifts are as follows: Sunday to Sunday
  
  • 10.00am until 6.00pm
  • 6.00pm until following day 10.00am (non active)

ABOUT THE ROLE:

Day to day duties may Include (but not limited to):

• Companionship
• Assisting with personal care
• Food preparation and cooking
• Thorough domestic cleaning
• Contributing to the day-to-day functioning of the home
• Running errands
• Following daily task instructions based on client needs
• Community access and transportation
• Providing active support to client based on their goals
• Medication assistance
• Liaison with families, Co Workers, Support Coordinator
• Medical and other allied health appointments

MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE

• Current First Aid Certificate
• Current CPR (annual)
• National Police Children Check (less than 6 months old)
• Current Working with Children’s Check (WWCC)
• Current Australian Drivers License
• Own vehicle with comprehensive car insurance
• NDIS workers screening check
• Covid fully vaccinated (three doses)

PREFERRED BUT NOT ESSENTIAL:

• Industry experience will be highly regarded
• Minimum of Certificate 3 (desirable) or other relevant qualifications
• Experience working with challenging behaviours
