In partnership with Engender Equality and SASS, Laurel House will deliver the ‘Family, Domestic and Sexual Violence Pilot - Service Integrators Initiative’. This pilot will improve the capacity of General Practices and Aboriginal Medical Services to recognise and respond to family violence, sexual violence and child sexual abuse.
The Regional Service Integrators will work with the Manager and Operations Coordinator, and other Regional Service Integrators (including those in partner organisations), to develop relationships with General Practices and Aboriginal Medical Services offering a phone and web-based family and sexual violence referral support service and provided capacity building activities with General Practices/ Aboriginal Medical Services about family and sexual violence.
The Regional Service Integrator role, is a fixed term full time (minimum 0.6FTE may be negotiated) position, available from 1st April 2025 to 30th June 2026.
The pilot is supported by funding from Primary Health Tasmania (Tasmania PHN) through the Australian Government’s Primary Health Networks Program.
Laurel House is a dynamic and professional specialist sexual violence service. Laurel House provides a range of trauma-informed, evidence based, therapeutic services to victim-survivors of sexual assault, their families and supporters.
We also develop and deliver a broad range of programs to adults, young people and children including the provision of therapeutic face-to-face counselling at our centres located at Launceston, Devonport and Burnie and through outreach locations across the North and North West Tasmania.
Our team also provides community education and other capacity building programs focused on the prevention of sexual harm and on supporting parents, carers and service providers to better respond to disclosures of sexual violence.
