About the Role

La Vita Care is looking for experienced support workers to deliver supports to NDIS participants across Melbourne.
We support individuals to pursue their interests, achieve their lifestyle goals, develop new skills and be valued as equal citizens in the community.
Applicants should be prepared to support clients with activities of daily living such as showering, medication, continence assistance, domestic duties, attending appointments and the use of a various lifting aides. Training will be provided.
About You
If you are passionate about supporting people to manage their own lifestyles and live the life they choose, we would like to hear from you. To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Cert IV in Disability or a relevant qualification and a minimum of 6mths experience in the sector
- Students encouraged to apply
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Working with Children Check
- Current First Aid training
- Manual Handling training (or willing to obtain)
- International Police check (if applicable)
- COVID-19 Vaccination Certificate or Immunisation evidence required
- A positive, reliable, empathetic approach to support people of all ages and backgrounds living with a disability
- Demonstrated, proven experience working with individuals who may have complex support needs in different environments
- Proven can do, positive and willing attitude
- Clear and effective communication skills
- Friendly disposition and engaging manner – a sense of humour!
- Initiative and self-motivation
- Flexibility and availability are essential in this role, with the ability to work a variety of shifts
