Our vision is powered by a deep commitment to enhancing the quality of services we offer to our community. Today, Lismore is flourishing, and it's the perfect time for those who live, work, and play here to embrace and celebrate everything that makes Lismore so special.
The natural heritage values of the Lismore and Northern Rivers region are world-renowned, and we take seriously our environmental management responsibilities. Working with Lismore City Council offers opportunity to be part of a team actively influencing best practice environmental management.
We warmly welcome individuals who bring fresh perspectives and unique skills, helping to enrich our collective vision for a vibrant and thriving community.
The Environmental Strategies Officer is a permanent full-time position for a suitably qualified person to work within the Environmental Strategies team. The role will see you working collaboratively on strategic environmental projects with industry, community and internal stakeholders within the LGA and Northern Rivers region.
You will bring expertise in project management with an ecosystem’s skill set and be working with a team of similarly motivated and passionate people. A typical day could see you collaborating on strategic delivery of biodiversity management programs, advising stakeholders on best practice ecological projects, coordinating rural-based events for restoration and land management, or guiding rural landholders through grants programs.
You'll be working in a full-time 35 hour/week role, with workplace flexibility and options around a 9 day fortnight, that will primarily be based at our Corporate Centre in Goonellabah.
