Summary of Role
The Communications Officer will be responsible for creating the communications strategy and delivering communications on AIDA's programs. This includes working with Program Leads, the Communications Manager and Director of Communications. You will be a self-starter with a can-do attitude and strong attention to detail with proficiency in writing for various platforms, including social media, newsletters, press releases, leaflets, and websites. If you have a passion for effective communication and a knack for managing complex projects, we would love to hear from you.

This role is offered as a 12 month fixed term part time role at 0.4 FTE.
Key Responsibilities
- Take charge of strategic communications planning for AIDA’s programs.
- Create compelling content, including press releases, website content, EDMs, and social media posts.
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure consistent messaging across all communication channels.
- Monitor and analyse the effectiveness of communication efforts and adjust as needed.
- Management and tagging of the photo/video library/relevant assets.
- Managing relevant shared inbox and actioning emails where required.
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders and colleagues.
Essential
- At least 5 years of experience in similar senior positions. Project management experience a bonus.
- Strong MS Office skills, and experience with Canva, Hootsuite/Buffer, Mail Chimp, Survey Monkey and video editing software.
- Superior organisational skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritise conflicting deadlines.
- Exceptional attention to detail and uncompromisingly high standards for your own work.
- Excellent communication skills.

- Tertiary qualifications in journalism, PR, communications, or related discipline.
