We are looking for an experienced primary school teacher to join our team of educators to continue to design and deliver comprehensive respectful relationships programs for schools.

At Learning Consent, we partner with schools to design and embed whole-of-school respectful relationships programs. We consult with the school (staff, students and parents) to design the program and develop the content, and then we train the teachers at each school to deliver the program to students.

The role will include:

  • Consultation with school staff and students
  • Lesson development
  • Training primary school teachers to deliver our program to students
  • Monitoring and evaluation of pilot programs (via feedback data and consultation with staff)
  • Occasional presentations to school staff and parent/carer communities

Job Criteria

Ideally, you will have the following:

  • Bachelor of Education or Master of Teaching
  • 5+ years experience as a primary school teacher in the classroom
  • Experience working with a diverse range of stakeholders particularly in schools
  • Confidence with public speaking and facilitating training
  • Working with Children Check (WWCC)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Word, PowerPoint, OneDrive) and G Suite (Gmail, Google drive and Google calendar)
  • Psychology and/or sociology or sexual health expertise is desirable

Hours and Location

The role will be paid on an hourly basis, for up to 32 hours per month (equivalent to one day per week). The contract will begin in May 2024 and be for a period of six months, with the option to extend after that.

The role will largely be undertaken remotely, from home. However there will be the need to travel to Sydney-based schools for consultation and the delivery of training from time-to-time.
