Legacy Club Services (LCS) provides a suite of quality services that support participating Legacy clubs and their beneficiaries.

About the role

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Program Activities Manager to develop and coordinate activities for our beneficiary programs. This role is pivotal in supporting Legacy’s mission by overseeing social inclusion initiatives, managing family and youth activities, and working closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure meaningful engagement for our beneficiaries.

This role is based at our Central Office but requires travel to offsite locations for events, activities, and stakeholder engagement.

Key Responsibilities

Social Inclusion and Community Engagement

  • Develop and implement social inclusion strategies for beneficiaries, focusing on those at risk of isolation.
  • Build and maintain relationships with service providers and community groups to enhance engagement.

Activities Administration and Support

  • Coordinate invitations, mailing lists, and direct communication with beneficiaries.
  • Attend and provide support at events as required.

Reporting and Project Planning

  • Develop and coordinate program strategies in collaboration with the Beneficiary Programs team.
  • Ensure timely collection and distribution of reports to track program outcomes.

Process Improvement and Procedures Documentation

  • Review and enhance processes to improve efficiency and best practices.
  • Ensure all procedures are up to date and align with evolving team roles.

Family and Youth Activities Program

  • Plan and manage events such as family camps, holiday programs, and social activities for widow(er)s, 2nd Generation (2G), 3rd Generation (3G), and Persons with Disabilities (PWD).
  • Manage applications and communication for external programs such as Duke of Edinburgh and Outward Bound.
  • Oversee project logistics to ensure cost-effective and timely delivery.
  • Maintain accurate records and manage communications with beneficiaries.

General Responsibilities

  • Support the Central Office team in meetings, training, and WHS compliance.
  • Ensure appropriate duty of care for all participants and report incidents as required.

  • Budget forecasting and management to ensure all programs and activities are delivered to budget and in in a cost-effective way

Skills and Experience

Essential:

  • Previous experience coaching and developing a team.
  • Proven experience in developing and delivering innovative social inclusion and community engagement strategies.
  • Strong coordination and administration skills, ideally within the Not-for-Profit sector.
  • Experience working with volunteers and community organisations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Highly developed organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build trust with beneficiaries, volunteers, and stakeholders.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
  • Ability to build relationships with external service providers and maintain existing partnerships.
  • Ability to successfully provide a Working with Children Check (WWCC) and National Criminal History Check (NCHC).

Highly Regarded:

  • Diploma in Leadership and Management.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems and emerging technologies.
  • Understanding of the Not-for-Profit and charity sector.
  • Experience in performance and change management.
