Job summary
You are responsible for:
- Undertaking consulting projects in life cycle assessment for chemical production processes and manufacturing systems
- Handling large databases, data processing and analysis
- Modelling processes to generate datasets describing environmental impacts of chemicals and products
- Verifying environmental data and claims
- Collaborating with various stakeholders on multidisciplinary projects
- Managing client relationships

Requirements
- Experience addressing environmental performance of chemicals and industrial production systems
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to determine actionable projects that achieve results
- A thorough understanding of chemistry and chemical production processes
- Experience working on life cycle assessment of industrial processes
- Demonstrated ability to employ analytical, communication and teamwork skills
- Demonstrated success managing multiple projects to meet tight deadlines
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to multi-task and prioritise work
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organisational and planning skills
- A general understanding of / passion for environmental issues

Reporting relationship
The successful candidate will report to the Director of Lifecycles.
Qualifications and experience
- A degree in chemistry or chemical engineering
- A minimum of three years’ working experience in the field of LCA
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience using SimaPro desktop and Report Maker
- Certified environmental claim auditing qualification (ISO14065)
- Specialities in maths or engineering would all be looked upon favourably.
