The HIPPY (Home Interaction Program for Parents and Youngsters) Program Coordinator is responsible for the leadership, supervision and management of individual team members and the HIPPY Program, targeting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander parents/carers of children between the ages of 3½ years to 6 years old. HIPPY aims to provide children with a structured education-focused early learning program at home aimed at improving children’s preparedness for school; strengthening school participation; building confidence/skills of parents; supporting employment and leadership opportunities for HIPPY Tutors and Parents.
This position is being offered on a permanent part-time (0.8 FTE) basis and is based in Deception Bay. However, due to COVID-19 we are currently working a combination of at home and in the office till further notice.
Successful candidates will be required to clear probity checks including National Criminal History Record Check and Working with Children Check (where relevant to the role).
